The Daily Ping is a new, shorter form offering that shows up via email every day: one meme, one diagram, one idea (give or take) that augments the longer form articles and Monthly Reviews, which remain free. Think of it as slightly more polished versions of what comes out on social media, only freed from the mercurial appetites of our algorithmic overlords, and dropped straight into your inbox instead. It’s fascinating to see the next generation of health information network on-ramps come onto the scene - the Individual Access Services focused products like Flexpa, Fasten Health (Techstars ‘24), HealthEx, and b.well Connected Health that on-ramp consumer health products (rather than healthcare providers).

For those keeping score at home that never read “The Previously Undiscovered Bible of API Companies”:

“An on-ramp API company looks at a pre-existing network (rails) with pre-Internet standards, technology, and (importantly) developer anti-friendliness and exposes that access via a simple, easy-to-use API.”
