I'm new to this space and just trying to understand what this lawsuit is meaningfully about — would an accurate rephrasing be "your healthcare data stored in Epic by real providers can be accessed by other providers via platform brokers, as long as the users of the platform brokers pinky swear they're treating you, and these users (and by extension, the platform brokers) are alleged to not even pass the 'treating you but also selling your data' bar, but instead are alleged to be straight up lying about treating you while saying that they are, just to sell your data?" It seems like either the bar is too low for the "you have to be treating the patient to get at this data" validation, or the companies have straight up done fraud — I assume that's what the lawsuit is about.
